Publication Ethics

The Islington Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (ICJMR) expects all parties involved in the publication process to follow recognised standards of publication ethics.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, accurate, properly referenced, and not under consideration by another journal at the same time. Any use of previously published work, data, figures, or ideas must be clearly acknowledged through appropriate citation.

Authors must not engage in plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or inappropriate authorship practices. All individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research should be included as authors, and all listed authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to provide fair, objective, constructive, and timely feedback. They must maintain confidentiality and must not use unpublished material from submitted manuscripts for personal or professional advantage.

Reviewers should declare any conflict of interest and decline the review if they are unable to provide an unbiased assessment.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, transparent, and ethical publication process. Editorial decisions are based on the academic merit, relevance, originality, and quality of the manuscript, without discrimination.

Editors must maintain confidentiality, manage conflicts of interest, and take appropriate action where ethical concerns arise.
